The new Nomad packs even more functionality into the most powerful and full-featured rugged handheld computer available. Start with an 806 MHz processor, 1 GB of Flash storage, a long-life battery and integrated wireless capabilities like GPS, 802.11g, and Bluetooth. Then select an optional integrated laser bar code scanner and color digital camera. The Nomad also features a high-resolution, sunlight-visible VGA display that shows graphics and maps in crisp detail. And it's fully rugged and just as tough as our other handhelds which means the Nomad offers a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) than consumer-grade handhelds.
The Nomad makes it easy to collect, save and transmit data in the field because it's available with so many built-in capabilities. Compute your location with the integrated GPS receiver for navigation applications. Quickly track your assets with the integrated 1D laser bar code scanner. Or capture color images with the 2 megapixel digital camera for inspection, maintenance and repair applications. Plus, you can use the Nomad's CompactFlash (CF) and Secure Digital (SDIO) slots to add even more devices.
Like other rugged handhelds, the Nomad meets the rigorous MILSTD-810F military standard for drops, vibration, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures. It also comes with an IP67 rating. That means the Nomad is completely sealed against dust, and it can survive immersion in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes. rugged handhelds have also proven their reliability in the field with thousands of real-world users.

The Recon PDA computer adds new capabilities to help you do even more in the field. Available integrated Bluetooth and 802.11g wireless keep you connected. Versatile Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 5.0 software runs thousands of applications. Plus, the Recon offers even more Flash memory: 128 MB on the Recon 200X and 256 MB on the Recon 400X.

The compact Recon weighs just 17 ounces, yet its rugged design delivers reliable performance in the field. The Recon meets rigorous MIL-STD-810F military standard for drops, vibration, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures. And with an IP67 rating, it’s impervious to water and dust.
Built-in wireless, plus versatile CompactFlash options
With the Recon, it’s easy to make connections in the field. Bluetooth wireless lets you connect to mobile peripherals without cables, while 802.11g wireless gives you access to local area networks, e-mail and the Internet.
