DVI Interface

The ROCKY Mobile in-vehicle 3 piece computer system includes a DVI interface. The ROCKY’s DVI interface allows for the system unit and various devices to be trunk mounted, eliminating the need for complicated wiring and space encompassing peripherals in the front cab of the vehicle. The DVI interface offers a higher quality video image than analog, as well as allowing for use of multiple displays (up to 3), a valuable tool for emergency vehicles monitoring multiple information sources.

Rugged Features

As an in-vehicle system, it is particularly important that the ROCKY Mobile is able to resist the most extreme temperatures, shock and vibration. With MIL-STD 810F compliance, Our customer can be assured the ROCKY can withstand the toughest conditions. As a precautionary measure to reduce the likelihood of damage, ROCKY’s hard disk drive is insulated by shock absorbent membranes mounted on the top and bottom of the HDD.  Our products are designed with rugged computer features that meet their particular application and environment requirements.

Wireless Communication

We are dedicated to providing customers with the most up to date technology, including the latest in wireless communication. Some options available to our customers include the integration of a 56.6K internal fax/LAN modem, an internal GPS receiver, wireless LAN and a choice of one of the many wireless WAN (Wide Area Network) technologies now available. We can accommodate most of the WAN technologies including GPRS and CDMA.

MIL-STD 810F and IP54 Compliant

Mobile computers must come equipped to operate under a variety of extreme conditions. That’s why the in-vehicle computers are MIL-STD 810F compliant. The ROCKY Mobile rugged computer is resistant to rain, shock, humidity, vibration, salt fog and extreme altitude and temperatures. Additionally, units are IP54 certified, making them dust proof and water resistant. The combination of MIL-STD 810F and IP54 compliance makes these rugged computers virtually indestructible.

Rugged Backlit Keyboard

The majority of ROCKY users do not work from 9 to 5 in a cozy corner office; they are police officers, fire fighters, soldiers, researchers, and explorers. They are out in the field, working around the clock in various conditions. In response to these circumstances, We made the backlit keyboard a standard feature for the Mobile in-vehicle computer. The backlit keyboard enables easy system navigation under little or no light. Additionally, the ROCKY Mobile rugged computer system is compatible with a wide selection of software and hardware.

Alpha-Star™ Plus Sunlight Readable Display

The ROCKY Mobile rugged computers are equipped with the Alpha-Star™ Plus Sunlight Readable XGA touchscreen display; with 1300 nits the display was designed for fixed mount use. it ’s displays are unsurpassed when it comes to sunlight readability.  In addition, it ’s high quality touchscreen display offers the convenience of using either a stylus or gloved hand for input.
